Illini Pride
Illini Pride is the largest Registered Student Organization (RSO) on the Illinois campus, currently numbering over 2,800 members. Illini Pride is the parent organization of twelve student groups that are dedicated to supporting individual Illini teams. The two most visible Illini Pride-run organizations are the Block I, which is the student support group for the Illinois football team, and Orange Krush, the most dynamic and intimidating men’s basketball cheering section in the country!
GETTING INVOLVED: Within the first few days of the fall semester, often the evening of Quad Day, Illini Pride has its opening meeting, held in Foellinger Auditorium, during which new members can join. Check the website at www.illinipride.com for the latest information.
COST: $25 (plus the cost of football season tickets, if joining Block I)
BENEFITS: Great seats at Illinois sporting events, tremendous opportunities to make new friends, membership card providing discounts at local businesses, t-shirt, road trips, and social events (barn dances, semi-formals, etc.)

Block I
Block I, the football student cheering section, is one of the oldest student cheering sections in the country. Block I is very involved in supporting the football team, including Thursday night get-togethers with Coach Zook and Illinois players. Block I season tickets cost $116, which includes the $25 Illini Pride membership fee.
Orange Krush
With over 1,500 crazy members, Orange Krush has become one of the most recognized student support groups in the country. Known as much for its contributions away from Assembly Hall, Krush is also a charitable organization, requiring members to solicit pledges for every three-point basket made by the men’s basketball team over the course of the season. In 2005-2006, Orange Krush donated 400,000 to local charities, bringing its eight year total to $1 million.
