Atkins Tennis Center Junior Clinics
Clinic prices reflect the cost of a four week clinic session.
Hot Shots:The Hot Shots clinic is designed for players age 8 and under and will uti lize the USTA’s Quickstart format. Players will drill and play on a 36 foot court and use the Quickstart format red and foam balls. Participants will be introduced to groundstroke, volley, and serve technique and will perform drills to acquire racquet control. These shots will be used to develop rallying skills, perform drills, and play games.

Heavy Hitters:The Heavy Hitters clinic is designed for players ages 9 and 10 and will utilize the USTA’s Quickstart format. Participants will be introduced to groundstroke, volley, and serve technique and will perform drills to acquire racquet control. These shots will be used to develop rallying skills, perform drills, and play games.

Futures: Players eligible for Atkins’ Futures clinic possess the following characteristics:
- Are working to possess a strong understanding of groundstroke, volley, and serve technique.
- Can use groundstrokes and volleys to play live ball points.
- Can rally from the baseline using the Quickstart format green balls and are practicing to rally consistently with full compression balls.
- Can hit groundstrokes and volleys with proper technique from a fed ball to targets.

Challengers: Players eligible for Atkins’ Challenger clinic posses the following characteristics:
- Strong understanding of groundstroke, volley, and serve technique and can use these skills to compete without supervision.
- Are in the process of learning the stroke technique of specialty shots such as the overhead, return of serve, and approach shot.
- Posses sound rallying skills and use full groundstroke swings while rallying successfully from the baseline with topspin.
- Know the rules of tennis, can keep score, and are working to gain knowledge of simple singles and doubles strategies.

ITS-Intermediate Training School: Interested players must consult Alex Voss before enrolling into the ITS program. Players eligible for ITS possess the following characteristics:
- Improved ability in all aspects of the game and have made a serious commitment to learning the fundamentals of tennis.
- Possess circular groundstroke swings, table top volley swings, and a throwing motion for their serve and knowledge of specialty shots including the overhead, return, and approach shot but are working to refine these skills.
- Rally from the baseline with topspin, volley with consistency, and are able to use a full service motion to begin points.
- Knowledge of simple singles and doubles strategies and are working to gain a stronger understanding of advanced strategies.
- Have begun competition in USTA sanctioned tournaments and are making a serious commitment to their tennis.

ATS-Advanced Training School: Interested players must consult Alex Voss before enrolling into the ATS program. Players eligible for ATS possess the following characteristics:
- Excellent stroke technique on all swings including groundstrokes, serves, volleys, returns, overheads, and approach shots.
- Consistently rally from the baseline with heavy topspin, volley with depth and underspin, and have a consistent service motion which is able to be hit to targets and with varied spins.
- A training focus on match strategy, match play, and tournament competition.
- Possess an understanding and ability to execute advanced singles and doubles strategies.
- ATS players regularly compete in USTA sanctioned tournaments.
Monday: 6:30 – 8:30 pm / 1 Day: $120 per session (6 classes)
Tuesday: 7:00 – 9:00 pm / 2 Days: $228 per session (12 classes)
Wednesday: 6:30 – 8:30 pm / 3 Days: $306 per session (18 classes)
Students eligible for admission to an NCAA institution or who have started their Senior year in High School may only participate in clinics to develop fundamental skills
