One of the most popular ways to leave a legacy is through a bequest in your will. Here are some sample bequest clauses.
“I/We bequeath ___*___ to the University of Illinois Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation located in the State of Illinois, to support the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.”
“I/We bequeath ___*___ to the University of Illinois Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation located in the State of Illinois, to support Student-Athlete Scholarships in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.”
*Specific dollar amount, percentage of estate, or residue of estate.
